Giving everyone access to affordable (free) healthcare isn’t going to be cheap and the money is going to have to come from somewhere. McDonald’s CFO, Peter Benson realizes that when this law goes fully into effect in 2014 there will be changes to the menu at McDonalds. To argue all the reasons why we should or shouldn’t have a law such as the Affordable Care Act would take up too much time and your eyes would surely strain from reading it, so lets just keep it simple.

It’s ridiculous to have to pay for other people who are irresponsible and cant get their own insurance. If you don’t want health insurance then don’t get it, but don’t bitch when you get sick and the medical bills come in. Don’t raise the prices on everything for hard working people who pay their bills and their taxes. Oh, its just fast food their taxing, yeah for now. What else have we not discovered in this bill and what are they going to have to tax in the future when this law ends up being ten times more expensive then they predicted.

You should be able to opt out of this forced blanket insurance policy of the government and if you were to opt out they should give you a little card (like you get for your grocery store) allowing you to scan it at places like McDonald’s to avoid the tax.
