Football is one of the most popular sports on the planet and, every year, fans from all four corners of the world travel to watch their favourite teams compete in a number of competitions. Whether you’re cheering on Manchester United at Old Trafford or awestruck at Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in Barcelona’s attack, there are plenty of football stadiums that are MUST visits. We will now take a look at the top football stadiums in the world…
Santiago Bernabeu
The Bernabeu is Real Madrid’s spiritual home and Los Blancos have enjoyed plenty of success in front of their home fans over the years. Their standout match every year is El Clasico against Barcelona, however, it is incredibly difficult to get tickets. You can still attend a regular La Liga fixture and experience Real’s culture and passion for yourself or catch a Champions League game and witness Madrid compete against Europe’s greatest clubs. With a capacity of 81,000, it’s one of the biggest and most prestigious football stadiums in Europe and is a genuine must-visit.

Emirates Stadium
The Emirates Stadium is a truly breath-taking sight and is a more than worthy home to Premier League side Arsenal. Since an emotional move from Highbury, the Gunners have won just a handful of trophies, including back-to-back FA Cup triumphs in the last couple of years. The 60,400 capacity stadium is unbelievable and must rank alongside Old Trafford as the best stadiums in England’s top flight. Whether you witness Arsene Wenger’s men in action or simply take the stadium tour, the Emirates is well worth a trip.
Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich are the monster of German football and they now have a new home worthy of their qualities on the field. The Allianz Arena is just ten years old and is widely regarded as one of the best stadiums in the world. Bayern have won the Bundesliga in each of the last three seasons and could win it again this season. As of December 10th, they are five points clear at the top and priced at just 1/40 to win the title in bet365’s football betting markets. One thing’s for sure, fans at the Allianz have been spoilt in recent years and Bayern’s success doesn’t look like holding up anytime soon.
Celtic Park
For atmosphere, passion and history, there aren’t many better grounds than Celtic. With a maximum capacity of just over 60,000, it’s easily the biggest stadium in Scotland and Celtic are currently the dominant force in the country. Who could forget the noise prior to Celtic’s clash with Barcelona back in 2012, while they have also cheered on “The Bhoys” in countless Old Firm derby matches against rivals Rangers. For a true Scottish football experience, Celtic Park is a sensational stadium and is a must-visit if you’re ever in the Glasgow area.

Amsterdam Arena
Ajax are one of Europe’s most successful sides and currently ply their trade in front of 53,500 passionate and enthusiastic Ajax fans. Dutch football may have taken a hit in recent years but the Eredivisie still ranks as one of the top leagues on the continent for atmosphere and style of play. If you want to see one of The Netherlands’ finest teams in full flow, or simply want a slight break from checking out the city’s rich culture, the Amsterdam Arena is the place to be. Ajax are currently top of the division and are likely to dominate sides throughout the season – there could be plenty of goals!
